In response to this growing challenge, Caloundra Tourism, a business unit of the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, will launch the Welcome to Caloundra program this month.
This professional development program intends to revitalise the quality of Caloundra’s service culture among public facing staff in businesses across the Caloundra/Kawana subregion.
Based on the successful Welcome to Noosa program, that has been in place for five years, the content will mainly be rolled out as an online training solution but will also cater for larger businesses through tailored workshops.
The Welcome To model assists customer facing staff by bolstering their knowledge and understanding of the history of the region in which they work and allows them to be informed about what is going on in their community.
Customer service features heavily within the program design, with plenty of tips provided to participants which inform them how they can improve and get repeat business.
This project represents the first steps for the Sunshine Coast in developing an attitude of relentless improvement and a culture which promotes exceptional customer experiences.
